Through the expressions of existentialist authors and logicians Milan Kundera and Jean-Paul Sartre, we witness the philosophical and mental battles for personality, presence, and ‘being’ of the characters in The Unbearable Lightness of Being, and Nausea. Regarding other thoughtful compositions of Heidegger, Kierkegaard, Tillich and Sartre the thoughts of existentialism communicated in these two books become increasingly clear, and the connections of the characters in this world-without-God can be investigated.
